Progress has been amazing. And I don't see it ending for some time to come. I might actually end up where I have always imagined. We will see.
I cherry pick. Occasionally I do what is called. Other times I mix in different stuff. And other times I design my WOD from scratch. Some of the principles stay the same.
Two Wednesday's ago I attempted:
2 squat clean and jerk per minute for 15 minutes.
I attempted 135lbs. I failed. The workout killed me. I stopped in the 11th minute with several jerk misses.
This Wednesday I did:
Badger: Modified
3 rounds for time
30 hang power clean 95lbs (the WOD calls for full squat cleans)
30 pull ups (I scaled to 25 pull ups per round)
800 meter run
My arms are still jacked up. I didn't think about the grip issue this would create. It was a beast.
I must say...i'm surprised at the lack of response. Both positive and negative. This site was always one where I thought the group was trying to excel in cycling through both riding and strength training. This stuff works. It won't make you a power lifter. But it will make huge changes in your cycling. I have 4 other friends who are on board and they have all made marked improvements.
