Why is that? I spoke with a trainer who said you need protein everyday. He gave two reasons. First, your muscles are repairing on off days. Second, particularly while you sleep and when you first wake up, your body may try to scavenge your muscles for protein.
Sorry for the noob question but this is a confusing topic for me.
