I researched the gatorskins, and actually went to my LBS to pick them up. The guys there have never steered my wrong, and they suggested the Bontrager hardcase over the gatorskins due to my being a "heavier" rider... That hurt

They said that the Bontrager hardcase have an additional "pinch flat" protection that the Gatorskins didn't, but sacrified the higher TPI of Gatorskins (130) for a lower 65.

Since this is my first year on a road bike I decided to take their advice, especially since they both cost the same.
