Good question, I have some minor shoulder problems from old sports injuries that seem to be agravated by heavy bench pressing. I have no problems if I stay light and infrequent (2 sessions per month) on the bench press. I talked to a friend who is an othopedic surgeon and he said it is probably impingement syndrome that is minor.... I should probably actually go see him and get a real understanding of what it is.
Also, 225 for reps is the NFL combine standard for testing. I have a few friends who went to the combine and it was something we sort of worked on / dreamed about while working out for football.
