Day 4

Weight 217 lbs

Row 7000M Time 34:18

Intended to row 10,000M at a pace that I could keep up forever. I was able to row almost the entire first half of the Pitt vs Xavier game before friends dropped by expectantly. At this pace a the Marathon would take 3:20:00, not far off the mark. I barely broke a sweat and wasn't even breathing hard when I stopped, but that was the idea tonight. I'm pretty happy with my weight, dropped 3 lbs so far this week.

42,195 meters is the distance of a running marathon- 26 miles 385 yards or approximately 26.2 miles. Though first used in the 1908 Olympics, it didn't become the standard marathon distance until 1924.
Duh, I thought it was secret rowers thing.

You are a very brave (or crazy) man. 42,000 meters sounds like absolute torture to me. The most I have ever rowed in one sitting was 10,000. Good luck to you!

One question about the bubble wrap. Won't it pop when you sit on it?
I've never been a distance guy, but C2 will send you a pin if you swear that you've completed this thing. As for the bubble wrap, my ass seems to be acclimatizing to the seat. It's kinda like riding a bike, hurts like hell for the first few rides until you get used to it.
