After much research on the various certifying bodies out there I have decided on the NFPT.
The main reasons being that the cost and the NCCA accreditation. I know JP is certified through and serves on the Arkansas testing board for the NFPT.
JP, I'm sorry if I'm wrong in any of that.
My NFPT question is:
- Is the PDF book that I downloaded from their website, titled Standard Certification Manual, the actual book I receive after registering with NFPT?
- What is the average study time needed to pass the exam?
- Are there any other subject outside of those covered in the NFPT study guide that might help me pass the exam?
I've read through the forum and understand the a cert is a way to enter the industry. I am not to concerned where I get my certification, as long as it has credibility within the industry.
My long-term goal is attain the CSCS and one of he ACSM clinical certifications. I would like to work with organ transplant population at some level.
I would greatly appreciate some experienced insights.
