Default Break in, A and B

I guess I missed this in the book. Maybe that's easy to do - a lot of words sometimes!

But I see the break-in program has an A and a B workout. And the recommendation is 2 per week.

I saw someone else here say they did A/off/B/off/off/off/off

Is that what the author is suggesting? Yesterday I did A and B! I'm sore and glad to take the day off, for sure, but I also want to lift M-W-F. I'm happy to do the breakin for 4 weeks, so am wondering how the M-W-F schedule would work with A-B-A week followed by a B-A-B week?

And I'll reread these sections, but it looks like the A/B theme repeats, so am wondering if these are always supposed to be done on separate lifting days and separated by a day? I got used to upper/lower/rest day/upper/lower/rest weekend.
