Depends on how you lift. Oly and some PLers with oly leanings use oly shoes to squat (Olers use them to pull as well), while the same PLers may use a wrestling shoe or Nike Frees to pull.
Other PLers prefer flatter shoes to pull and squat in (esp to squat if they squat wide).
Ultimately it depends on how you lift AND your foot mechanics/mobility/stability. That means dont be stupid and get a pair of chucks (just cuz thats whats you see some PLers doing) if you have serious pronation or supination issues.
