It actually felt much better than the two sets. I was just thinking I should ask if I was doing something wrong, because after the first few workouts I wasn't feeling hugely tired and sore afterward. By the third set, I had really had to push to complete.
Doing the lower reps lets me use a higher weight than I probably could have, even if I'd only been doing 2 sets of 12 rather than 3 sets of 10. I like that, too--more red numbers soon
