It seemed to me the only people watching my comp were family members.
At least the vast majority of the audience.
That guy has really good speed on all of those lifts as well.
He does the same thing I do re the hips raising before the bar in the deadlift.
The reason that saying 'I squatted 600 (or even 800)' doesn't sound as great as saying 'I squatted 1000' is because people fail to say 'in gear'.
"What do you mean gear" they'll ask
"a special suit that adds a ton of weight to your squat"
Suddenly it doesn't sound as special.

And major action will certainly make you feel a bit uncomfortable, which is absolutely fine. You've gotta get excited about feeling uncomfortable, you've gotta love feeling slightly uncomfortable, because you know that you're stepping outside the boundaries that you used to create.
