From what I understand about direct mail (from working for gyms in the past), is that most people throw stuff like that away. It takes numerous attempts, putting the same name/message in front of someone, before they finally acknowledge it. I wouldn't waste my money on direct mail. It seems impersonal in my opinion! Also, the flyers people send out are cheesy! Stock photos of women in spandex and such. lol! I think people are more prone to pay attention if it's something they don't have to read.
