No...I made the point that he isn't weight cutting. Maybe I didn't make it clear enough, but I thought I'd been reasonably articulate?
Weight cutting is maintaining a weight fit for your general frame. That is comfortable to allow you to do the training you need to, and allows you a healthy diet and training program.
Then... Just short of your match, you manipulate carbs, sodium(helps with hydration), laxitives and hydration to "limbo" under the nearest, lowest weight and then come back up to your normal healthy weight for the fight.
This guy starves himself, year round to maintain an abnormal and extremely unhealthy body weight for his frame, in order to enjoy a reach advantage. This then bit him in the ass - or on this occasion the shin. He was not healthy when he entered the Octagon - I would love to read the opinion of a doctor that disagrees with me.
