Colostrum got a bad name when Bill Phillips gave it a thumbs-down, but many people say that his skepticism was unfounded and unwarranted.
Real colostrum has been demonstrated to increase IGF-1 in athletes during strength training, and various studies have shown it increases performance (vertical jump and running).
The bad thing is, to replicate these results, you'll need to get in around 20 to 60 grams per day. This is expensive, so most people don't even bother.
Also, if you're lactose tolerant, then colostrum is not for you.
