OUCH! Diana, you bought yourself a good excuse not to cook or type! Could your hubby maybe fix up a big batch of something like chili or a nutritious soup for the next couple days?
Joy, I've been feeling an increasing gnawing hunger... mostly have been able to ignore it, but it is certainly there and somewhat on my mind. So I guess you could say I am hungry and I do want to eat as well.
I did do my cheat day yesterday, but it was a planned one and totally clean... and not even up to maintenance calories if you include exercise. I'm guessing that between water aerobics and two half mile walks and one short 15 minute session of stationary bike, I burnt 700 or so calories. At least the HRM gave me 100 for each walk and 200 for the bike. I'm sure water aerobics, even though I am adapted to it, burns something for the hour. Water has a lot of resistance.
I had a bad pounding headache again, and ended up fixing pancakes for dinner instead of eating the fish/quinoa salad I had prepared, in hopes yet more carbs would help. It didn't. Now the quinoa is in the freezer for the end of this week and the salad will make a nice low carb meal today so no biggie.
I guess that answers the question of whether more carbs help the headaches. I had a high GI/GL day the day before, so it's not a carb issue. Not a dehydration issue either, I drank 30 cups of water yesterday! Carbs must've made me thirsty or something.
So the hunger is present. I fixed the protein pumpkin pancakes again this morning, even though they are not as strictly low carb as I normally do on my low carb days, just because they do seem to have that quality of satisfying me longer.
Hubby is sweet though! Out of the blue last night as I was laying on the couch cradling my pounding head and trying to pay attention to the 49'ers game (good game, even though we didn't win), he said he was really proud of me of sticking to it and keeping this deficit.
