I don't know how smart it is to be subjecting kids to such a lactic environment. There are a lot of hormonal responses that come along with lactic acid buildup, and I don't think it's a great idea for kids, especially pre-pubescent kids.
On a side note, as a Detroiter and Tiger Fan, what the heck happened this year?
