The open water will be a lot different than pool swimming and I would recommend getting some of the open water into your training. In the pool, include some speed work into the training and for your distance do a minimum of 1500m on a regular basis.
The transition from bike to run isn't as much about the clothing change but more about making the legs do something completely different. Some people get real rubbery legs and others (like me) might get some cramping in the calves. Something you should be ready for.
