The gymnastics was really frustrating to me. I hate the new judging scale. It doesn't make any sense to me. I miss the 10pt scale.

About the girls not looking 16--I can see how that would be, but when you look back at the sport, most of the girls don't look 16. I thought that the 20yo Chinese woman this year looked about 16, and the 33yo German looked to be in her 20s. There's been a long tradition in gymnastics to look young. When I was competing (not at an Olympic-level), it was strongly suggested that we maintain the body of a 13yo girl. (BTW, I love the Karolyis! I heard Bella's voice from the other room and had to come running in to watch is interview. BF laughed and wondered how I could understand a word he was saying. It's easy for me to understand him. I translated for BF.)

What I found more upsetting was the American diver that they interviewed who said that she gave up her family and friends to go train. She also pointed out that she didn't go to high school. Now, I'm sure that she had some sort of educational training, but the message she portrayed.
