I have a GT Karakoram - probably 1995 or 1996 but I don't honestly recall - that I'm going to take the the LBS to get tuned and cleaned up. My plan is to ask them what they think it is worth because I'm thinking of selling it to help finance my new tri bike.

Is that a good plan? Any other way to determine value?

One last question -- am I being stupid? Do bikes that old even sell? It was great 'back in the day'. But that was then, and this is now.
