The steroid treatments are mainly, I think, to help reduce inflammation, and are pretty bad-ass at doing that for some people. Of course, there's potential side effects for some.
My sister apparently has something she takes daily and something else she takes if one comes and OTC stuff like excedrin doesn't work. She'll send me names of the stuff tonite, I'll pass it along.
