I've noticed that over that last 6 months or so that whenever I feel myself getting a fever or sore throat, if I can convince myself that I'm not sick I feel much better, almost like I have no symptoms of being sick at all. For instance, last night I felt myself getting a fever and a sore throat, I told myself half heartedly I couldn't get sick. Half-way through the night my fever was much worse and sore throat was worse as well, I told myself that I wasn't going to be sick and that I would be better in the morning. Well it's morning and aside from a very mild sore throat, I feel fantastic. I'm sure this could have been just a mild 12 hour bug, but I like to think that I overpowered the germs! Is anyone able to do this, or know of any studies related to attitude and illness? Any input or comments appreciated.
Thanks,
bobby
