We all seriously doubted that it was an accident, since touching then net in general is a no no. I think all the girls sports seem to be more violent than when I was in school. Makes me worry about my unborn athletes. hehe

My little sister plays hockey and they aren't allowed to check like the boys, but those girls know how to throw their weight around! I love it when she gets aggressive.

My DD comes home with some amazing bruises and bumps

... and yeah - they even teach them how to shove and elbow without getting carded for it! LOL Bree about the yellow card - sounds like it was definitely worth it!
When she was only 10 or 11, DD and her rec-league team escorted the varsity girl's team onto the field for youth night. We stayed to watch, and I was SHOCKED at how rough it was at the hs level, and I remember thinking my little girl could never play like that. Guess what - now she does! And she gives as good as she gets

. When she broke her wrist (hint: if you fall forward over the ball, do NOT catch yourself with outstretched arms), she wrapped the cast in foam and played anyway. She said for the game against our biggest rival she was gonna wrap the cast in metal spikes

I LOVE watching the U6 kids - if you want to find the ball, just look where every single kid on the field is in a big clump
