Default Suggestions for K-10 program

Hi Brian,

I'm mom of three kids who are in a new charter school. Last year, PE was a little inconsistent, and they are trying to get things going, but the guy who has been hired as PE teacher is more an enthusiastic dad and less a professional PE teacher. I've volunteered to help him out.

Do you have recommendations for a program that could be used with such a wide age range?

Last year, there were just a bunch of random sports (whatever the kids were interested in). I've talked to a lot of the older kids (my sons' friends, 12-14 years old) and they are very interested in programs that I've been doing--the last several months I've been working on some of Alwyn Cosgrove's programs and I've seen some very nice improvement in my body composition, which they noticed.

The school is totally open to suggestions, so I figure we should find the very best we can.

Recently, I was watching one of those crazy Japanese shows with obstacle courses (with my sons of course), and the boys thought that they would be great for school! Now I have to figure out how to build a course that they won't kill themselves on. Seems like it would be great for motivating them.

Anyway, any ideas? Oh, and we don't have any money. I'm only kidding somewhat--I'm a fundraiser so I can figure it out if need be.

I'm tickled that I found this forum--and slightly embarrassed since I've been hanging out in a different forum and didn't even know you were over here--Rachel Cosgrove referred me to you, I looked you up and here you are!

Thanks in advance for any ideas you might have.
Elisabeth
