Yeah, the jerky is really easy. I get a fairly cheap bulk cut of beef (top round, etc), cut it as thinly as possible with a larger butcher knife, and marinade it for 24 hours in the fridge in a one-part teriyaki sauce, one-part light beer (Bud Light usually) mixture. When time is up, put the strips in a kitchen dehumidifier, and depending on how thick the cuts were, it can take 18-36 hours to dry out (also depending on how dry/chewy you like it). I now have munchie snacks for a week.
