I think bench especially needs to be trained so much differently with gear, and remember.. my shirt is ipf legal so its not some double ply only think. raw 3-4-5-6 boards learning to lock the weight in the right spot, and lots of tricep work. If I tried to do a 10rm or whatever in my shirt i wouldn't be near touching.
I think I've said this before, I do board work twice a week! 2 board, 3 board, and sometimes 1 board, I don't think I have much of a need for 4 board at this point though(our boards are big phone books )

Assistance work isn't cycled the same, and drops off towards the last 2 weeks of training. Speed work isn't cycled like that either.

Linear periodisation is a big part of it, but it's more of a hybrid system with the assistance work and the speed work. I think the way we train at my club is way easier on the body than intensity based(Westside) and volume based(sheiko, etc) stuff, and its a good middle ground between the two, works really well, and in the long run my body will be much less beat up!!!

Also, my coach brought in chains to the gym! So might try some speed squats/deads with those!!!

Oh, and I just bought some baby powder
