I like your spirit, Rob. However... It's really a lot of work for one day there and one day back. I'm assuming you're eating more "normal" food with the rest of us, right?
Just eat more normal food during travel and go with amounts that are less than would make you super fat overnight. Assuming you're eating carbs over the weekend, you're not losing out on much if you keep eating under your calorie levels, anyway.
Eat breakfast at home, some meat and nut based snacks, a small normal lunch or more snack foods, an afternoon snack maybe, then the summit fun starts on thursday night.
I doubt they'll let you bring gel packs on board. You can't bring a bottle of outside water on a plane. Blue gel looks pretty sinister by comparison.
