I hear you on the everyday thing. If I workout (somehow) every day, I'm motivated to eat right (well, better...). Cardio is not very motivating to me, and my foot hurts if I walk too much (PF).
I did a lot of reading in the bro-science archives (t-nation) and considered a high frequency but very low volume approach, uber-wisely combining theories from a multitude of authors (CW, CT, CP, CS, TC, LMNOP, etc.) until I had a program that I could delude myself into feeling confident would kick ass (but not my ass, since it's gotta be low volume for everyday anabolicness).
I ended up doing a push/pull split with 1 major upper and 1 major lower movement per day. The rest of my workout is just my rehab and bro lifts (I was neglecting the rehab stuff when I just did them as a workout alone. too boring.).
Anyhow, it gets me to workout almost daily, and I don't like to blow my hard work on junk afterward, so it's all good, so far.
