Still feelin' the burn!
Man, I woke up today and still feel achey all over from the massage yesterday. As the day has gone on, it has gotten better, but I figured it would be a good day to avoid any weights. I hadn't planned on doing much, so it really wasn't a big deal.
It is so beautiful here today! A perfect Spring day, clear skies, bright sunshine and an even 70 degrees--made me dileriously happy that I had pre-ordained this to be a cardio day!
Friday Workout:
Warmed up with some 1/2 squats, arm circles, general all-over stretching for a good 4-5 minutes then hit the open road!
Jogged 1.2 miles to the nearby school, walked 1 lap on the track, then did sprint intervals every 100 meters for a total of 16.
Ran bleachers, which was a nice change but got quite fatiguing very quickly! Started out with a set of 25 up & down, went back down to the track, walked 1 more lap, then hit the bleachers for another 20 "laps". Walked 1 lap, ran 15 bleacher laps, walked 1, ran 10 bleacher laps, then did a med.-paced lap around the track and ran back up into the stands for the final 5 bleacher laps. Walked around the parking lot for about 10 minutes to cool down a little, then jogged back home.
Abs:
Frog Crunches-2x20
Bicycles-2x50
Forearm Plank-2x75 seconds
*Thank God I did abs before I went outside, I don't think they would have gotten done had I waited until after!
