I certainly agree with you here.
From my perspective, I would argue that an $80 price tag is
not high enough for the product to be 'reassuringly expensive'. I may be wrong, but in terms of the claims in many of these long style ads, I think the price range compliments rather than contradicts the ad style.
I'm not talking about this product, but if I really truly believed I’d make the gains purported in many of these ads, I’d pay a hell of a lot more than $80.
