Sounds like network marketed crap to me. Even if it's not crap, it's not specifically what he was talking about. He's talking about carrying many name brands (mainstream brands), like Cytosport, Champion, etc.

Maxx,supplements are a decent profit center for my club, but not enough to warrant setting up a seperate shop.

I can connect you with my distributors. I get really good rates. Just make sure you keep up with your inventory and maintain the ability to track it as a profit center if you do it from your gym. Keep up with your own consumption too.

I have a couple of ways I do this from my gym. Both are profitable. One is just ordering stuff that I know will sell really well. The other thing I do is twice a month I make a bulk order on what we call our "discount supplement program" where our customers fill out order forms directly from our catelogue, and we make custom orders. Since we are buying so much it allows us to get the good prices, the customer gets what they want, and they are paying 10 to 15% off retail prices, so they're happy.
