I don't know about ya'll but I need flexibility. Perhaps that is just a pie in the sky idea. I know that what I wanted yesterday , is not necessarily ANYTHING I would want today. I did find that out. Some things just sound yucky on another day.

this works for me most of the time. I have written out and calculated meals - dinners, lunches, that I know taste good and fit in my calories. Then I make a menu for the week based on those meals. Then I (and this is the important and difficult part) - stick to the menu. Just as if I was having meals delivered or had a chef cooking for me (or a wife) - I eat what is put in front of me. I had to learn to stop asking "what sounds good tonight?" or "what do I want?". A little dying to self. A little parenting of my self. YMMV. hth.
