BJJ tonight
Whee!! (I just got back, so I'm still a little loopy/flying, so apologies if I'm incoherent, but I had to write this down.)
Class tonight was great. Again with an hour and a half. (Maybe they changed the class time? I dunno.) I finally
finally got someone to tap during free rolling. And with a move we learned for when the other person messes up, and which we were promised wouldn't happen much. But I got 'im! Twice my size. Reached back & grabbed his knee, rolled him to the knee bar, awesome. He tapped, rolled over and looked at me, and said, "I can't believe I got caught in that." Wohoo! (and then he kicked my butt for the rest of the round. Oh well.)
And I caught someone else in another mess up and had perfect form on the ankle lock... but he has hyperflexible ankles, so the lock doesn't actually work on him.

But he did tell me after the round that I did have the lock exactly right and that anyone else would've had to tap. Score.
I'm getting better at this whole thing. I keep getting caught in "Well, now what?" situations, though: I can do a little, and then don't know what to do after.
After class, I was standing around with the guys (because my legs wouldn't work to walk back for my stuff), and they decided to do tire flip and sledgehammers. I followed them out the back, and they've got a great big ol' tire out there. So we started flipping it. It's basically a deadlift + clean. I got 3 flips in, and 5/side sledgehammers. I've always wanted to do tire flips

They told me after that the tire is 200-250lbs. Sweet!!
(But that also means I need to up the weight next time I deadlift, right?

)
So, fun after class means no extra lifting for me tonight. I can feel myself starting to fade...
