Our office coffee is actually pretty good. We have coffee makers that use individual pods, so it's always fresh. And there are lots of flavored coffees, too.
BJJ & Stage 3, A3
They're playing with class times as BJJ (new building + two martial arts schools combining = kinks). So last night we rolled for an hour and a half. Whee! I'm learning a lot, and the guys are taking their turn with me to teach me basic stuff. We learned this really cool armbar last night and then what to do if they try to get away--turn it into an even more impressive armbar by flipping them over.
Went home, made my PWO shake, and then decided to try 3A3. The Stage 3 workout A is a pretty good lifting set for BJJ--lots of hip, shoulder, and core work. So I figured I'd give it a whirl.
DB Snatch: 2x6x25lbs (both arms); 1x6x25lbs (right)My left shoulder hurts. I don't think it's a muscle; maybe a deep bruise from rolling back over that shoulder? I go back that way more often than to the other shoulder. Anyway, it didn't want to lift any more. Today I'm icing it.
DB single-leg RDL: 2x6x25/10lbs
Bent-over rows: 2x6x40lbsAgain using offset weights in the RDL. Couldn't stand on one leg on my own, so I did these next to one of the squat rack uprights for a brace when I needed it.
... laid on the floor and said, "Silly girl." Then:
Pushups: 2x10
Plank: 2x30s
Wipe out. Shower, foam rolling (oh! I'd forgotten I had this--fabulous!), and bed.
