We just had the australian olympic trials. The lats on the sprinters are huge. One girl is doing pullup reps with 32.5kg (72lb) additional weight.

When designing a swimming workout think about what movements are performed in the pool and train the opposite muscles. This is more a rehab/prehab training though.
