I agree with Aoife and justinbass - the point of having a trainer is to get an individualized program built to address your particular needs. Specifying that the workouts conform to NROL guidelines (compound exercises, supersets etc) isn't an unreasonable request, and still gives room for the trainer to do what you're paying him/her for.
