Thanks for all the suggestions - I decided to go with a pair of 16s for now. As Roland pointed out I think I could use the dumbbells I have if I need lighter weights for some exercises. I also purchased Steve Cotter's Encyclopedia of Kettlebell Lifting Vol. 1, with the idea that I can make the exercises more difficult for added challenge rather than adding weight. Once I get used to them, I'll consider grabbing a pair of 24s. (Wichita Falls Weightlifting has a little discount if you buy the KBs in pairs.)
