I know there are several programs out there that would suit me, I just need to do some research. For right now, I'm just sticking with isolating the muscle groups and trying to make smart decisions on when to add in some harcore cardio. I will certainly update my log if I dive into anything more specific, but for now, it's just me on a wing and a prayer!

LOL! Crazy is as Crazy does! I went on a tear a couple weeks ago and bought a bunch of new equipment, and I'm just loving it! I gotta say, doing ANYTHING while standing on any of the instability devices ups the difficulty (for me) by about 200%. I just needed something to shake things up a little and these have provided a welcome change to the same-old exercises. The VersaDiscs absolutely rock for some killer ab. workouts--tough, tough, TOUGH!

I can really relate to your feelings that you were rolling along, but just somehow couldn't get back in the groove.

I think this full week off is really helping me. I'm feeling stronger and excited to lift again on Monday. We went out to the bar last night and I feel kind of gross today. But sometimes I think you have to go there to remember why you've made a conscious decision to watch what you eat and exercise.
Sorry to hear you are hanging in un-groovy land with me, it's a disconcerting thing for sure. I too, hit the bar this weekend and blew off a little steam. It felt great, but like your experience, reminded me why I do what I do. As I was trying to hang out and let loose, I couldn't hardly stop myself from noticing all the heaping platters of nachos, cheese fries, etc... on the tables all around us (Sports Bar-go figure!), but for once, it didn't tempt me a bit, it just made me want to go from table to table lecturing on the horrible effects of processed, high-fat food. So, even though I drank a little more than I probably should have, I felt like it was a great night. Yes-I'm a total dork for even having thoughts of lecturing fellow bar patrons, but I'm quite content with my "dork-dom"!
