Default 2 TNT-type questions

1a) I started riding a mountain about a year ago and really enjoy it. Unfortunately, the timing of good riding weather the past few weeks coincides with my starting TNT, and my legs are TIRED. I try to ride two or three times a week, and while I'm pretty slow I still tax my legs pretty well. Add to that the TNT workouts lunges, goblet squats and step-ups and my legs really feel fatigued. Problem is, I don't want to give up either activity. I generally lift in the morning and ride later on. Is it best to do those both on the same day so I have a rest day or to ride on days I don't lift?
1b) Does a lack of carbs contribute to this fatigue (will it pass)?

2) The TNT exercise 'Seated Rows to Neck' is an extremely awkward movement for me; especially as I approach my neck. I'm pretty sure I'm doing them correctly, but I really have a tough time with those last few inches as I get towards full contraction, even with an embarassingly light weight. It's a little easier if I drop my elbows, but that's not how it's shown in the book. Any suggestions?
