I'm pretty much a daily weigh person myself. Of course I hate to admit it, but I'm a stats person, and I just like to see the trends. I don't generally let the number affect me (not saying never, but so far only once), it's just one of those daily things I do. I have a blog on another site that I post the weekly differences, but in the end it's the month to month that I'm most interested in.
