Berardi's recipes - US vs. Euro serving sizes
This question is probably better answered by those who read Berardi at some point. Still everyone is free to help... and help is welcomed!
I've just read The Metabolism Advantage and i'm in doubt in what concerns serving sizes specially regarding the book's supershakes. Berardi has 3 recipes for supershakes. I've tried them and i get almost 1L of drink. He states that those recipes make for one serving. I make 2 servings with that amount of "juice" and find it quite filling in my stomach... Is 1 serving really that "big"?
Here is the recipe:
1 1/2 Cups of water
1 Apple
4 TSP of oatmeal
4 TSP of flax
3 TSP of Low Fat Yogurt
3 TSP of mixed berries
1 SCOOP of Whey protein
By the way, the recipes are full of OUNCE, SCOOP, PINT, TBS, TSP, CUP, etc. Can anyone point me to what these all mean in ml and g. I've searched the web but again i find the servings to big and even some differences from website to website (not to mention from UK to US).
