Yes, I've definitely noticed that aspartame on an empty stomach is a disaster. Splenda doesn't seem to have an effect. But I think most of my migraines are hormonal - they really only bother me right around my period. I had a low-grade migraine once for five days - from the day my period started till the day it ended. But yes, I can see how an elimination diet would be helpful. I can definitely recognize how what you put into your body could trigger a headache.
