I think in advance of receiving your book most of your questions (especially about what is allowed) are answered in the articles published on the Men's Health site.
The quick answers are that I do not believe in seafood is limited on plan A (although other low carb diets limit oysters, mussels and clams I believe which have some carbs). Wine is okay, two glassed (4oz ea) per day. The book does say that your body will stop burning fat while it is processing alcohol so it would be better for weight loss to drink less.
