I'm about 4 weeks into the plan too, just switched to carb/protein pre/post workout shakes.
I'm suprised you're stuck, it sounds like you've been following the diet well, and only 1400 calories a day.
I'm 40, 6'3", started at 218 the day after the Giants won the Super Bowl...I've had good results, down 16.5 lb in a month, and my clothes are swimming on me.
I say try the carb/protein shakes, stick to plan A all other times. And keep the carbs on the low side, see what happens.
