^ Totally agree. It depends what the exact physiological issue is in that shld as well. I've personally never seen anyone 'gain' w/ unilateral training but perhaps maybe not atrophy as much as they would've w/o it...who knows. I personally wouldn't do it.
It reminds me of mind-body training; the experiment of having you concentrate on, say, your right hand. Do you feel it warmer? Is it because of a circulation increase that you "willed" to that area? That sort of thing...
