Unless you've got a burning desire to do HIIT, you probably don't need to be doing it for the reasons mentioned. Any time you're introducing high intensity work for things that don't match your goals, you're shooting yourself in the foot. If you're just doing cardio for health, 30min moderate intensity (HR) 3-4x a week. If you're doing it for body comp, eat less.
