So, I had my first workout this morning with the new trainer and I am so pumped over it. A little shaky, even 2 hours later but what a great way to start the day!
We did a back day.
Deadlifts (the real deal, with the oly bar!) 3X10X115 lbs
DB Deadlifts 2X10X55 (my trainer wanted to show me the difference in the 2)
Rope pull throughs (tricep cable rope through the legs, up and contract)
3X10X55lbs
Face Pulls (with the rope, elbows up) 3X10X55lbs
Chest pulls (1 foot up on bench, leaning back and pulling handle to rib cage) 2X10X55lbs
Bent over Rows 1X15X50, 1X15X60, 1X16X60
I'll go back tonight and do some cardio. It was a great workout and he is full of facts, which is what I loved about one of my previous trainers. He expressed interest in looking more into the NROL4W workouts, so I am going to let him borrow my book. He did say he asked someone that he knew about the specifics, so that is good.
You'll have to forgive me on the names of the exercises, I am sure they aren't the "proper" ones, but it's all I got.
We also talked about my goals. He is glad that I want to build muscle and that I have gotten rid of my old mindset of not lifting and just trying to be as "skinny" as I can be.
Good stuff and what a great way to start Valentine's Day!
