You know you make a really good point for doing some with the bar. I do several BW squats in my pre-workout warm-up. But I think doing less of those in favor of adding some bar-only squats will add a good mental through to body preparation.

Basically, it's a lateral lunge kind of movement with the feet pointed out, and you hold a DB like you would in a goblet squat. Not much rotation at all.
Thanks for the link. When I saw the name of that squat, I thought squat down, twist torso to left or right, twist back to middle then come up out of squat, and I wondered why you didn't name that the torture squat.
