My new shoes always give me blisters, but that's how it usually works when you are breaking in shoes. I always try to buy 2 or 3 pairs at a time, and then break them in all at once. This give the foam in the shoes more time to recover in between runs, and should help extend the life of the shoes. A few hundred dollars is tough to drop on a shoes, but I really think it makes my shoes go longer...
