did the podiatrist mention whether it might be plantat fasciaitis (sp)? my wife was diagnosed with it and she had foot pain for a really long time. they started by giving her orthodics. then they made here sleep in this boot that stretched her foot. unfortunately for me she gets the jimmy legs and kicks in her sleep. hehe. but anyway, she also got cortisone shots in her foot. and those would help a bit. but the ending of the plantar story is evidence that my wife is the toughest lady i know. she fixed the problem accidentally one day on her own. she was running and she felt a pop and flash of pain in her foot. she finished her run and came home and iced it. it didn't hurrt anymore. so she goes to the doctor and he says, he was going to reccomend surgery to cut the fascia but as it turns out the pop and flash of pain was the fascia ripping in two during her run. so she didnt need the surgery anyymore. it hasn't reaaly bothered her since.
