Hi
Please get it looked at by a physician/ PT before you decide to hit the weights. Any time you have pain radiating down a leg or radiculopathy, it should be checked.
In the meantime stick to bodyweight exercises and avoid spinal loading.
Please think long term, big picture etc., as you would not want to aggravate an injury by loading it prematurely.
You also might benefit from Mckenzie's back extensions so google them and start doing them.
