If you want to grow, Post up your diet. Ive been fairly lean at 240+lbs @ 5'9 before and I attribute that to diet as well as decent training. Most of the stuff out there for diets is focused on fat loss and not muscle gain so its hard to cut out the crap and find what you really need.

Its a long road, and about 100x harder then dieting. Very very few people can honestly say they have gained 40lbs+ of muscle. It takes full dedication for quite some time.

Im guessing you are naturally a 'skinny' person. I once was, too. After a few years of force feeding myself, waking up at 2am to down some peanut butter and protein, bringing a cooler of food wherever I go, olive oil shots, spending all my money on meat, etc ive gained muscle.

Unfortunately, for many the articles written for 'mass gain' are by people, who have very little experience in it, in the real world ive found and leave alot of people with piss poor results after trying them. Mass diets based on chicken breast and broccoli.. carb cycling.. it goes on. Nobody who hasn't been well over their non-training weight really knows what its like to carry an extra 40+lbs of muscle around all day, and how hard it is the even maintain that.. yet, they sure will tell you how to do it

sorry. went on a rant.
thanks, frank. it wasn't a rant, but helpful. I just feel stuck. I eat probably 2400-2600 calories a day, which I know isn't enough. I'm 6 180 and would love to get to 185 or 190. Not looking for huge gains. I weighed 155 in college, and even had a stint 3 years ago at that weight due to work stress. It took eating all the time (or what felt like eating all the time) and lifting to add the extra lbs. I just cannot imagine eating 3500 calories or whatever. Friends swear by phera plex so seemed like a good alternative.
